Getting discovered

Request a spot on the explore page, understand how ranking and badges work, and handle the reviews that feed into both.

Beyond your own audience, Insy has an explore page that surfaces communities and products to people browsing the platform. Getting placed there, and ranking well, is the main way to reach buyers who’ve never heard of you.

Request a spot on the explore page

Listing isn’t automatic — you ask for it, and the Insy team reviews the request.

Send the request

From your community or product, request to be featured on the main/explore page. Only the owner can make the request.

Wait for review

The request goes to the Insy team as pending. You can have only one pending request per item at a time, and can check its status from your requests list.

Go live

Once accepted, your item becomes eligible to appear in the explore swimlanes. Where it shows up is then decided by ranking, not by the request.

How the explore page is laid out

The page is built from swimlanes — horizontal rows, each with a theme. Four kinds:

Trending

What is picking up steam right now.

Bestsellers

Consistent top sellers.

Top rated

The best-reviewed items.

New & growing

Newer items gaining momentum — including a rotating spotlight for promising newcomers.

Community and product lanes are interleaved (roughly three community rows to each product row). A single creator can’t fill a whole lane — placement is spread out so the page shows variety. New and promising communities also get surfaced in reserved slots before they’ve racked up numbers, so a good item isn’t stuck invisible on day one.

How ranking works

Insy scores each item and refreshes the scores about hourly. You don’t tune the score directly — it’s earned — but it helps to know what it rewards and what drags it down.

What lifts you up:

  • Sales momentum — how much you’re selling recently.
  • Growth — new members or buyers in the last week (the “X joined this week” figure on cards).
  • Quality — your rating and reviews.
  • Conversion — how often people who view your page actually join or buy.
  • Interest — how often people who see your card click it.
  • Retention — members sticking around and renewing rather than leaving.

What drags you down:

  • Refunds, early cancellations, and pending cancellations.
  • A run of bad reviews.

Badges

A well-performing item can earn a single badge on its card — Hot, Trending, Growth, or Top rated. Badges come from the same signals as ranking; you don’t apply for them.

Reviews

Reviews feed directly into the quality signal, so they’re worth tending to.

  • Who can leave one — a buyer can review only after a 14-day, active, paid membership. This keeps reviews coming from real, committed members; a member who can’t review yet simply hasn’t passed the 14 days.
  • Reply to a review — post a public reply to any review on your item, and edit or remove it later. A thoughtful reply to a critical review often does more for a browsing buyer than the review itself.
  • Report a review — if a review breaks the rules, report it to the Insy team. Pick a reason: inappropriate language, spam, harassment, false information, competitor attack, or other, with an optional note. Each review can be reported once, and a human reviews it.
