Create your paid community

Fill in the handle, name, description, category and images that make up your community page — and learn how drafts, edits and deletion work.

Creating a community sets up the page people land on, the membership they buy, and the shell your Telegram group hangs off later. You’re made the community’s owner automatically and can manage everything from the moment it’s created.

What you fill in

Pick a category

Choose the one category that best describes your community — the list runs from Trading and E-commerce to Selfcare, Sport and more. It’s how people browsing Insy find communities like yours, so pick the closest fit, not the most flattering.

Set a handle

Your handle is the short, unique word in your community’s web address (its “slug”): 5 to 25 characters, lower-cased and cleaned up automatically, and it has to be free — Insy tells you on the spot if it’s taken. It goes on every link you share, so pick something stable and memorable.

Name and describe it

The name is the display title shown to buyers (up to 50 characters). The description is the longer pitch on the page (up to 1000 characters) — what members get, who it’s for, why it’s worth the price. You can add a short list of questions and answers to head off the usual “what’s included?” messages.

Add a cover and an avatar

Upload images to make the page yours: background/cover images, a separate avatar, and optionally a short video. One image is marked as the main picture — the large one at the top of the page.

Set the price

Every community needs at least one paid plan. Set a single monthly price during creation, or build out several plans — see Pricing plans and how members pay.

Editing after it is live

Almost everything here — name, description, category, images, questions and answers — can be changed after the community is live, from its management screen. Two exceptions:

  • The handle is meant to stay put. It’s baked into every link you’ve shared, so treat it as permanent even where the interface lets you touch it.
  • The member cap has a catch. If your community is running a limited drop (a fixed number of spots), you can’t change the member limit while that drop is active. Finish or cancel the drop first. The everyday member cap is in Managing members and expiry.

Deleting a community

Deletion is deliberately slow and two-step, because it removes the community and cuts off its members.

Request deletion

From the community’s settings, ask to delete it. Insy emails a single-use confirmation link to the owner’s address rather than deleting on the spot. If members are still active, you’re told how many before you go ahead.

Confirm from your email

Open the link and confirm. It’s valid for a limited time and works only once — the safety catch that stops a community being deleted by accident or by someone who isn’t you.

Wait out the grace window

After you confirm, deletion is scheduled about 24 hours ahead, not immediately. During that window it can still be undone. Once it passes, the community is removed.
