title: Getting paid in fiat
description: Connect a Stripe account and withdraw your PLN clip-reward balance — plus what happens when fiat withdrawals are paused platform-wide.
---

Your fiat balance is paid out in Polish złoty (PLN) to a **Stripe account you connect**. This is the
rail for your **clip-program rewards**.

> **This is your clip-reward balance, not your sales income**
>
> The PLN balance here is what you earned from the clip program. Money from selling your community or
> product through ordinary card checkout settles to your own Stripe account as part of each sale — it
> is not withdrawn from here.

## Step 1 — Connect a Stripe account

Before you can withdraw, you need a connected Stripe account for payouts. Set it up once through
Stripe's own onboarding, where Stripe collects the details it needs to send you money (your identity
and your bank account). Until an account is connected, the withdraw button tells you to connect one
first.

> **Stripe handles the bank details**
>
> Insy never sees or stores your bank account number — that lives with Stripe. Once the account is
> connected and verified, withdrawals land in the bank account you gave Stripe.

## Step 2 — Withdraw your balance

1. **Check what is available**

Your fiat balance shows an **available** amount (withdrawable now) and a **pending** amount (not
yet). You can only withdraw what is available.

2. **Request the payout**

Enter an amount up to your available balance and confirm. Insy reserves the amount on your ledger
and sends a single Stripe transfer to your connected account.

3. **Wait for it to settle**

The transfer is created immediately; the money then arrives on Stripe's usual payout schedule. If
it fails, the amount goes straight back onto your available balance and you can try again.

> **One withdrawal at a time**
>
> Only one PLN withdrawal can be in progress at once — wait for one to finish before starting another.
> There is no withdrawal fee on the fiat balance today.

## When fiat withdrawals are frozen

Fiat withdrawals can be turned off across the whole platform for a period. When that happens:

- Your **balance and history still show** exactly as before.
- The **withdraw button is disabled** until withdrawals are switched back on.

So a greyed-out button with a healthy balance behind it usually means a platform-wide pause, not a
problem with your account or Stripe connection. Nothing is lost; withdraw once it's re-enabled.

> **If a withdrawal seems stuck**
>
> On the rare occasion a payout gets stuck part-way (say, a crash right as it was sent), the Insy team
> can safely resume it — finishing it if the money already moved, or releasing it back to your balance
> if it didn't. Reach out and they'll unstick it.
