title: Earn by clipping
description: Find a campaign, verify the social account you post from, submit your clips, understand how views are counted and what a clip is worth, and get paid.
---

Clipping is how you earn on Insy without being the creator. You take a creator's content, cut short
clips, post them on your own TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, and get paid based on the views they pull.
The rate and rules are the creator's; your job is to make clips that follow them and rack up views.

## Find a campaign

Campaigns are listed on Insy's discovery page. Each shows the creator, the platforms it wants clips
on, the pay rate, and its **rules and resource links** — where you get the source footage and
anything else you need. Read the rules before you start: they're exactly what your clips are approved
or rejected against.

## Verify the account you'll post from

Before you can join a campaign you need at least one **verified social account**. Verifying proves you
own the account your clips come from, so views can be tied and paid to you.

1. **Link an account**

Choose the platform (TikTok, Instagram or YouTube) and enter your username. Insy gives you a short
    **verification code**.

2. **Put the code on your profile**

Add the code where Insy's checker can read it on your public profile. Insy then looks your profile
up to confirm the code is there.

3. **Wait for the check (or trigger it now)**

The check runs on its own shortly after. If you don't want to wait, ask Insy to **re-check
immediately** once the code is in place.

> **A verification does not wait forever**
>
> A pending verification is only open for a short time. If the checker can't find your code in that
> window, the attempt fails and you start a fresh one — with a new code. There's also a cap on how many
> verification attempts you can make per hour and per day, and failed tries count too, so get the code
> in place before you check.

A username already verified — by anyone — can't be verified again, and you can only have one
verification pending per account at a time. You can remove a linked account later, which unlinks it
from Insy.

## Join, and mind two things that can block you

Once you have a verified account, join the campaign. Two conditions can stop you:

- **A ban.** If the creator has banned you from that campaign, you can't join.
- **No verified account.** If you have none, verify one first.

Some campaigns also ask the creator to **approve each account** before it can clip. On those, your
account waits for approval; on campaigns that don't, your verified account is enrolled automatically.

## Submit a clip

Publish your clip on the platform first, then submit its link.

1. **Paste the clip's URL**

Give Insy the link to your posted clip and the platform it's on. Short TikTok share links are fine
    — Insy resolves them to the real video.

2. **Insy checks it's really there**

A new clip starts in a platform-check state while Insy confirms the video exists and reads its
details. Once it clears, it moves to **pending** — waiting for the creator's decision.

3. **The creator approves or rejects it**

Approved clips start earning. Rejected ones don't — and if you think a rejection was wrong, you can
dispute it (see [Clip rules and disputes](/clipping/rules-and-disputes)).

> **One clip per video, and a limit on retries**
>
> Each video can only be submitted once while it's live in a campaign. If a clip is rejected on the
> **platform** side — deleted, or it failed Insy's check — the slot frees up and you can resubmit, but
> only a few times before Insy tells you to stop retrying that video. There are also limits on how many
> clips you can submit per minute and per day.

## How views are counted, and what a clip is worth

After a clip is accepted, Insy checks it on the platform regularly and records how its views grow —
you can watch the running total and trend on the clip. Payout follows straight from views and the
rate:

- The rate is a **CPM** — an amount per **1,000 views**. Your clip's worth is its views at that rate.
- There's a **minimum**: a clip earns nothing until it's worth at least the floor the creator set.
- There's a **maximum** per clip: past a point, one clip stops earning more however big it gets.

> **Fake views won't pay**
>
> Insy scores clips for signs of inauthentic views. Buying views or botting doesn't just risk the clip —
> it undermines the account you verified. Earnings track genuine views, and a clip taken down on the
> platform stops earning.

## Getting paid

A clip's earnings aren't paid the instant it goes up. Each clip carries a **review-and-hold window** —
roughly two weeks — during which the creator can still approve or reject it and a payout won't settle.
After the window, an approved clip pays out; because it settles against view snapshots, you may be
paid in steps as the views climb rather than all at once.

The reward lands in your **Insy wallet**, on the same rail the campaign runs on — a złoty
(clip-reward) balance for a fiat campaign, or a USDC balance for a crypto one. From there you withdraw
it like any other Insy earnings.

> **Connect a payout method to actually cash out**
>
> To receive fiat clip rewards you'll need to connect a Stripe account for payouts; crypto rewards go to
> a wallet address you add. Balances, the hold, and both kinds of withdrawal are in the payouts section.
